Dateline:  McKinney, TX   March 14, 2015

The sky was angry on Saturday my friends.  The weather man completely botched the forecast and we played in a roaring wind and spitting rain from time to time.

The course of record was Westridge.  Normally, a course I love to play but Saturday was tough.

I could have sworn I was playing with a carbon copy of myself.  While I struggled out of the gate with 3 consecutive bogies, Kent played the first 7 holes in 5 over.  His new G30 Ping irons were launching the ball high and straight.

Unfortunately, while the Captain was working his magic on #7 with a chip in birdie (net eagle), Kent scored and par and then his mind left his body for the next 7 holes.  He finished the stretch from 8 to 15 at a whopping 20 over.  The good news is that the holder of one of the RAM awards kept his composure the whole time and no clubs were tossed.  Kent, welcome to MY GAME!

The Captain brought #8 to it's knees.  3 well directed shots to the right of the property fence (the course is on the left side of the fence!) and the captain was BIPSIC with an 8 and he still had at least 180 yards to get to the hole...

I want to leave everyone with a smile on your face.

Captain, Wayno and I got to play a couple of hours of dominoeswith the commissioner.  He is still fighting through some post surgery issues but there were lots of smiles and laughs.....I thought I was going to wet my pants after the Captain overbid Johnny to go 2 marks on a "sure thing" nello hand.  Unfortunately for the captain, we smoked him out and sure enough he got caught with the "Captain domino" - the 5:6 - named from another "sure fire" nello hand by the captain!

Until next time boys....keep those cards and letters coming....

Dateline:  Lipan, TX    March 8, 2015

Kevin, Dave, Captain and I played SugarTree Golf Course in Lipan yesterday.  We had a ton of fun and it is a very nice course - the only issue is that it is 1.5 hours away from Coppell.

We had a couple of blog worthy moments.

The course was amazing - a lot of rolling hills, tight fairways and small greens.  Perfect for the circus!

The first fun moment occurred after our tee shots on the Par 3 Number 7 hole.  We had a little drizzle and the cart paths were wet.  The Jumbo package was driving in the number 25 Nascar Jumbo car.  Moments after leaving the tee box, the driver (Smitty) lost control on the wet surface and chaos ensued.   Fortunately, the rocks in the picture stopped the cart from rolling but the Captain ejected and his momentum carried him on a dead run all the way down the hill.

Here is a shot of the wounded #25 Cart:

If there is anyone who doesn't believe that the Jumbo package can be flexible, quick and nimble, they should have seen the eject from the cart.  Note the front drive wheel....it was close...

Funnier yet is the video that was shot after the mishap:

I have to end with a picture of Boom Boom Davie's drive on #8 - note the white tee markers in the foreground:

A great time was had by all.....until next time, drive safe out there laddies!

Dateline:  Riverchase Golf Course - Coppell                                       March 7, 2015

The Captain and I played Riverchase together - we had a swell time!  Here is a picture of us after the Captain made a par that only the Captain can string together.

We were on Number 16 - he flairs a very poor 4 hybrid about 100 yard out to the right.  He follows this with an amazing pitch shot to about 25 feet below the hole.  He one putts for the win!  A $2 press that had carried for 5 holes.

I did get the money back!
