Dateline: Carrollton, TX January 24-25, 2015
Our guest correspondent was at it again this weekend - several boys got out to test there skills agains a couple of courses on another cool but beautiful winter weekend in the Great State of Texas.....
It has been said many times, golf is dangerous and that was proven last weekend.
Indian Creek Creeks Course - (the Donk HATES this fricking course - I am glad I was not there!)
Rusty smartly calls ahead to check on frost delay, while Curt and I sit in the restaurant area.
Curt starts off with 6-6-6 and realizes he can’t win any holes with a 6!
Rusty spends most of the day with lippen-fuckers and just burning the edges of the hole.
Steve needs a par on 18 to break 90. Finishes the hole with a 98. 3 in the water. AND - he still holds the coveted Red Ass!
Plantation –
Hole 1: Steve makes a nice 1 putt from 15 feet. Unfortunately he averages 2.5 putts per hole thereafter.
Hole 3: Joe is pictured hitting from the White Tee Box on #3. Unfortunately we were playing the Blues. This was his second shot. He has already twice said he’s playing so bad he wants to quit.
Hole 4: Joe is again struggling and wants to quit. He’s laying 7 about 80 yards short of the green. Steve talks him down off the ledge and Joe hunkers down and makes a 9 on the hole. Steve also makes 9, but he was pin high in 3.
Hole 7: Pictured are Kevin’s witnesses to a near hole-in one. Tap-in Birdie could have lipped out??
Hole 8: Matt’s 5th shot, after nearly being decapitated by his 3rd shot! Note his comment: “That’s what I was trying to do!”
Hole 9: Steve hits monster drive, but hits ball with Gap Wedge 60 yards into greenside bunker. Gap Wedge then thrown 55 yards next to Greenside Bunker. After 4 mighty swings, ball escapes greenside bunker. Oak Leaf Cluster!
Hole 10: Kevin is ready to tee of with 3-wood. Steve states that is enough club as long as you don’t go left too far. Kevin proceeds to yank the ball so far left it actually hits ground on the 18th hole side of the water, then goes in! See picture taken from normal 10th hole landing area, looking back at the 18th green. Those two little figures are Matt and Kevin.
Hole 18: With a McCune on the line, Matt drains 20 footer for par. Joe drains 15 footer to tie his par. Kevin drains 10 footer to save bogey after hitting tee shot into the water and hitting his 3rd shot from the tee. Steve drains 6 footer to halve the hole. Lotta strokes!
Congratulations to Mr. Rucker who had a birdie while birdie's watched!
