Dateline:  The Colony   January 19, 2015  MLK Day!

We have a guest correspondent for this blog - our very own mechanic, the Jewish Lee Trevino - Steve Rude!

I was not able to participate because we hard working stiffs in the medical device industry have to work on federal holidays - unlike all the bankers, insurance geeks and accounting guys!

Here is a blow by blow description of what sounded like a fun day out on the links at the Tribute:

1) Steve burns hole in shorts while lighting cigar before tee-off. Important note: Shorts are being worn for the first time.

2) Capt. proclaims to have played the Pink Lady for 38 consecutive holes prior to tee-off. Promptly deposits in the creek on hole #1.

3) With absolutely zero wind, the booming voices of Capt and Kent carry easily over the course. New player Robert constantly having to re-set at address due to the jibber-jabber nearby.

4) Hole #3 tee box  – photo of Curt just prior to the “Swing and Release the Club” that occurred nearly a half dozen times through the day. Later he claims he felt as if he was releasing the club prior to contact.

5) Hole #4 – Steve and Robert win the hole – Steve cards a Nine and a Dot!

6) Hole #6 -Curt asks Steve to call his cell phone. Steve Calls and random player on Hole #4 answers.

7) Hole #7 – Capt hits approach of his life up on the green while group ahead is putting. Steve proceeds to 4 putt from 15 feet.

8) Hole #11 -Steve shows restraint while 4-chipping to impossible pin location.

9) Hole #13 – Kent gets Oak Leaf Cluster for club toss after poor chip.

10) Hole #13 – Curt close to RAM moment with a minor club slam and expletive on approach chip, which somehow lands within 8 feet and he makes his birdie putt

11) Hole #16 – Curt close to RAM moment with mild club toss after poor result from chip out of the hazard.

12) Hole #18 – Steve gets Oak Leaf Cluster for club toss after Drive goes OB

It's a good thing that Stevie and Kent own the combo Red Ass trophies or they would be trading them back and forth!!!!!

Let's end with a moment of silence for our dearly departed Pinky!
